The Non-Surgical Treatment for Double Chin Reduction

CHIN UP™ or Lipodissolve injections reduce fat under the chin, known as submental which can redefine your jawline resulting in a more contoured neck profile.CHIN UP™ fat dissolving injections can effectively eliminate your double chin without surgery.

How does CHIN UP™ work to treat double chins?

CHIN UP™ by SKYN for MEN® is a treatment involving the injection of deoxycholicolic acid (found naturally in the body) or Lipodissolve into the fat in the double chin area, which destroys the fat cells. Once the fat cells have been destroyed they cannot store fat again – so once you have achieved the look that you want, it is unlikely that you will need more treatment.

How is double chin removal treatment performed?

Injections are only performed by SKYN® Talent who have been trained in the treatment. The treatment involves a number of small injections into the fat beneath your chin.

What to expect

The CHIN UP™ double chin reduction treatment is administered in a series of sessions spaced a few weeks to a month apart for the best results.

Treatment sessions usually take 15 – 20 minutes. You may experience some bleeding, swelling, bruising, or tenderness at or near the treatment area, however, these side effects are typically short-lived. While this is a non-invasive procedure and you can return to your daily activities immediately afterwards, you may experience some redness, bruising and swelling for a few days up to a few weeks afterwards. We suggest that you schedule your treatment near the end of the week, or over the weekend.

Over time, you’ll notice your double chin gradually receding, revealing a slimmer, natural-looking neckline. Because the fat cells targeted by the CHIN UP™ treatment are destroyed, your results are likely permanent.

Are you a good candidate for the CHIN UP™ or Lipodissolve treatment?

Sometimes, a double chin has nothing to do with body weight and is instead due to hormones or heredity. It can be frustrating because a double chin can make you look older, heavier, or unhealthier than you actually are.

Whatever the case, if you’re bothered by your double chin and nothing you’re doing on your own is working, the CHIN UP™ double chin reduction treatment may be the solution.

The best candidates for the CHIN UP™ treatment are men and women over the age of 18 who are in good health and have realistic expectations about what the treatments can do for you.

Please book a consultation to see if the treatment is right for you by calling SKYN 08 9389 9022 or requesting an appointment online.

How much does Double Chin Reduction cost?

Recovery & Side Effects

CHIN UP™ does come with a few side effects, as most cosmetic injectables do. They’re usually mild, and the possibility of developing severe complications is minimal.

The most common CHIN UP™ side effect is swelling, which can last up to three days after your treatment. You may also experience some bruising, itchiness, redness, and general discomfort. Some patients also experience numbness or tenderness in the targeted area, in some cases for up to two months.

If your job requires you to deal with the public (or if you just don’t want anyone to know you received a cosmetic treatment), you may want to schedule your treatment toward the end of your work week to give the redness, swelling and bruising a chance to dissipate before you go back to work.
